ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING CHALLENGES: CURRENT AND RETROSPECTIVE PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS

While teaching challenges have been shown to affect teacher performance in multiple ways, little is known about the transformations occurring language teachers' perceptions of over time. Hence, this study purported analyze EFL current and retrospective associated with tasks. Quantitative data were collected utilizing a questionnaire processed through Friedman’s ANOVA Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. A within-subjects comparison revealed statistically significant difference between large effect size on all tasks included questionnaire, indicating that experience was causing variable contributing task difficulty. The principal shifts participants' views documented such as student engagement material, effective instruction for learners, personalizing teaching, planning managing instruction. played less decisive role case speaking, motivation, vocabulary, reading, assessment, knowing students. Notably, areas persisting very challenging regardless motivating writing, listening. study's findings hold implications initial preparation development, highlighting calling more attention. paper presents results rather small-scale investigation tackling only few which potentially challenge teachers.
